Super Trio “Live @ The Cafe’ No - EP ( 5 Track EP )

ALL These tracks were recorded LIVE to TWO TRACK Cassette recorder on Aug 16 &17 of 1991 at "The Cafe’ No", then located in Portland, ME. A Chance meeting w/ Cecil McBee in NYC led to him agreeing to play this gig in Maine where he resided in the summer.

The 3 of us, myself, Matt Wilson and Cecil had never played together before prior to this gig! There was no rehearsal, and no set list …we just got up there and played. It was totally spontaneous -and I’ld like to share the results with you. I’m offering separate tracks for 1$ each and The Album for $9.00... Feel free to add a couple dollars if you feel like it!

The recording was digitized, mastered and edited with the help of John Montagnese and myself in the summer of 2023 at The Carriage House Studios … It was a project that needed additional funding and I’m very thankful that the Jazz Foundation of America stepped in and supported the project.

BIG BIG Thanks to Cecil McBee and Matt Wilson for playing so great! Please enjoy this rare and totally spontaneous jazz performance.
